Africa now Viet Nam’s biggest rice importer

Africa is emerging as a market with great potential for Vietnamese rice exports, according to the Viet Nam Food Association. In the first nine months of the year, African countries imported over 4.79 million tonnes of rice from Viet Nam worth US$2.05 billion, making the continent the largest importer of Vietnamese rice during the period. Vietnam wins tender to ship rice to Philippines
